Discovering the Practice PM Truth

In the golden age of discovery in the 13th through early 20th centuries, there were many such "hyped" things...the Flat World, the Northwest Passage, continents and seas that didn't exist. These were based on false hopes, intentional and unintentional misdirections, and complexities that couldn't be comprehended except through experiences. Those experiences - scientific and simple - are how we collectively arrived at the Truth about our world and our universe.

Just as in the days of world discovery, there are many things True about project, program, and portfolio management. Many of them, I think, get obscured by the hppe about specific tools and techniques that claim, or are claimed, to solve all of the problems. You know the ones I mean...

This blog is intended to discuss and expound on the Truths about PM (all the varieties of "P") as I see them. I'm counting on the reader to help me discover those real, practical, and important Truths so we can put them to work to improve PM. That's how we will get to the Truth about our PM world and universe...
